RED ENTARIES

 https://www.wattpad.com/story/399850211-red-entaries

The chairman's corporation shuttle, Red Entaries, supplies the needs of the moon colony every month.

As Trevor, a billionaire, hoping and praying for a wife when his friend and engineer, Cliff, revealed terrific news! An asteroid was to be mined and auctioned for separate lots.

Trevor was reminded by Cliff; he had an age-old bottle of moon beer. He and Cliff went to the night club Friend's Night Out to celebrate.

There was a beautiful, red carpet, actress waiting for a date with Trevor. A round table seated with prestigious chairpersons. Trevor, being one of them, gave a speech, and he received praise when his turn came. Trevor invited the fellow chairpersons to his company Lunar Life Corp to dine at the mess hall of his skyscraper.

But Trevor?

He would enter a treacherous love triangle between Salome Mersinger: a captain of the mafia working as a secretary infiltrating Lunar Life Corp. And the caring, supportive, yet emotional lead actress, Laura Rains, of the movie Nerve to Love.

Rune and Janice, rivals, must work together to use the legendary Fire Lamp, which would be the only way to activate the power to capture Lord Zarlock and convince Renald to turn from his ways, to save Atlantivanne from zombies. Can it be done?

Buckle Down

 You're in for a Ride

Image from Grok AI

The technique that helps me to read, especially if I am going to comment on someone else's work, is to buckle down.

It’s strapping yourself in for the ride, like on a roller coaster, vehicle, or even blasting off into space so to speak, and exploring new literary worlds.

Reading is a lifelong journey that takes you on a ride. It is up to you if that ride is bumpy or smooth.

Some people put on music, brown noise, coffee, meditation, deep breathing, exercise, earplugs, just to name a few to persuade themselves to focus.

But reading can still be a bumpy ride if you don’t buckle down and strap yourself in. If you don’t focus and you are distracted, no earplugs or brown noise will help you.

You need a quiet room. Put away your phone or any other distractions while you read. You will be amazed at what you can do when you buckle down for a good reading session.

Telling yourself to buckle down is like buckling up for a smooth ride where you stay focused to read wholeheartedly. You just need a little discipline and choose to focus with your undivided attention.

To get the most out of this ride, you will have to read it twice. You will need to make stops along the way like a tourist in a new country, exploring new things, but isn’t that what a ride is all about?

So, take the time to focus, use a dictionary, and research, you are worth it on this ride.

Poetry Writing Tips

    Introducing Poetry

 Image From Grok AI

What is poetry? It's an expression of the heart. Like painting a picture but with words, from what you imagine and feel. AI can’t tell you how you feel or what you see.

First draft, find what motivates you to write poetry. Maybe you want to become a poet Laureate. Get published in a magazine or just help to pay the bills. Write from your motivation for a first draft to get all of your ideas onto the page, so you do not forget them.

Second draft, look for areas to improve, such as showing instead of telling. Rhyme scheme, stanzas, rhythm, meter, refrain, and figure of speech, or use a poetic form such as free verse or the sonnet. Decide what works best for your poem.

Third draft, before you do the final touchups, get your poem critiqued by a family member, or someone you know, especially if this is your first poem. Now make the necessary changes to improve your poem. You are finished. Now to share your poem.

To feature your poem, like in a magazine or website: write down the time, and date of your finished poem. Describe the main idea or reasons behind your poem, or something you liked about it.

Extra credit, read and study classic and modern poets and their poems. Read novels regularly to increase your vocabulary. All done, comment below.

Novel Writing Tips

     Finish Your First Draft

When introducing a new setting or character it helps to draw a picture or map and plot as you write.

Narration, Mood - Is the land chaotic? Peaceful? Undisturbed? Destroyed? Barely hanging-on? Trying to survive? A city rebuilt. A city built with new construction. Is the land under attack? Are there unexpected guests? Is it the chief town? Is it the poorest town? Criminal? Lawful? Independent?

Terrain description, it shows the place, time, and culture of terrain. Describe the terrain in contrast: from the largest object to the smallest etc. The shape and color of a tree compared to grass and the white picket fence. Mountains to hills, with the sun rising over its peaks. Describe the terrain with action: the still pond, the blowing desert, and the breaking clouds. Observe all your senses in the surroundings. Describe the north, south, east, and west areas of a city. Describe the circumference of a city, number of houses and where are they? Which direction do they face? Add large terrain structures or dikes, then a causeway or a bridge that leads to a gate. Describe the walls, gates, and unique structures. Describe the middle of the city. Why was it built in this location? How were the buildings and roads used? How is the story taking place in this city at the present?

Check out and join critiquecircle for good and honest feedback on your writing. Also, it can be a good learning tool to critique others. Book Clubs on wattpad, where you read and comment on each others work is the best way to grow as a writer.

Use the snowflake outline and others, it helps a lot to get things rolling. But when you write, try to explore your character's options. The outlines are just to help not the rule of thumb, and they can help with long narratives too. You can write like a pantser but plot and sometimes draw pictures and maps as you go. Focus on one POV per chapter the best as possible, head hopping can be difficult to read. It can also motivate you to write with a calendar due date and to set a word count goal. Also, setting a timer or writing a chapter a day may help as well. All done, comment below.
